Xolani Ngcaza professionally known as “ProX” or “ProXnakedmynd” is a Cape Town, South Africa based rapper from Khayelitsha. His artistic journey started when he was secretly writing poems while focusing more on doing drama during his high school years when he got the name ProX from the Marvel character (Professor X).

During 2006 he decided to write raps instead of poems and showcased in every poetry and hip hop session he could stubble upon. ProXnakedmynd caught the attention of rappers, Backyard Crew, Undecided Crew, Maxhoseni, Driemanskap and Rattex. In 2008 he was approached by Pzho to join Nunstop Records and became the 4th member of one of the best crews in Khayelitsha, Nakedmynd.
A year later the crew split and only two members remained (Pzho and ProXnakedmynd). The duo did two mixtapes together (Hyper and Ishubile) and became main acts in almost every Zabalaza festival. His first solo single “Mjit’ Uyaflosa” gave him street cred for his punch lines, but the song that gave him a huge following was “Honest (A song many couples related to) featuring Qhama Musiq”.
“I Look To You” a song dedicated to his two former crew mates, and the song held the number 1 spot for over a month on
Bush Radio's hip hop show Headwarmaz. He has performed in various places in and around Cape Town such as Knysna, Strand, Stellenbosch, George, Hermanus, Ceres, Robertson. In the Eastern Cape he performed in Komani, Fort Hare, eMdantsane, King William’s Town, eMhlanga, Dimbaza & Zwelitsha.
